July 4th- Amendments 3 and 4 in Sterling Silver

Quartering of Soldiers Bead

Amendment 3
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Search and Seizure Bead

Amendment 4
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment 4 has been in the news a lot recently due to the extreme searches performed by TSA when preparing to board an airplane. What is your opinion on the rigmarole we have to go through? Do you think it is unreasonable to have your hair spray or mouthwash taken away? Do you know what happens to it after it is seized? Why not profile people and let the citizens of the USA travel without all this hassle? These rights would not apply to those fit the profiles.

How many of you own a copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States? If you don't have a copy you can get one from the Heritage Foundation and become knowledgeable on the documents and rights our forefathers set down by hand.

These are "We The People" beads and have a large diameter hole that is not threaded and are compatible with Pandora, Carlo Biagi, Chamilia, Troll and all other chains. Available on our website, please click on the linked text under the picture for more info.

July 4th- Let Us Remember The Bill of Rights with Beads

Freedom Of Religion, Press, Expression Bead
Amendment 1 Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Right to Bear Arms Bead

Amendment 2
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

It is extremely important that everyone living freely in the USA remember how we got here, and what gives us the ability to say, worship, work, eat and live as we desire. There are those in the world who would love to see our country perish and extinguish the freedoms and rights we have.

Available on our website, please click on either the picture or linked text under the picture for more info.

Hawaiian Wedding Celebration with Carlo Biagi and Landmark Beads

Carlo Biagi Dancing Couple
Beads are amazing and have been used for thousands of years for their beauty, as decoration, symbols, to denote status and in this case a celebration! Today my husband and I celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary and these symbolic beads will tell the story! A picture story with beads!

Carlo Biagi Conch Shell Bead
We chose to have a "Destination Wedding" where we flew to Hawaii and had a beautiful ceremony at Pukalani Falls in Waimanalo, which is on the windward side of the island. We were both barefoot and the ceremony began with the blowing of the conch shell by Reverand Howie. The Conch Shell is auspicious and is blown before a sacred event to drive away ill spirits and call in all that is divine.

Landmark Bead Hawaiian Hula Girl

After our private wedding ceremony, we continued our tropical honeymoon exploring the island of Oahu, and visiting all the sides of the island, including snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, a day at the North Shore, visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center and attending a Luau.

Carlo Biagi Wedding Cake Bead

We returned home to Florida and then a couple of months later we had a reception party for family and friends at a neat Bed & Breakfast in Daytona Beach. Complete with island themed decor, Hawaiian Leis for all the guests, dancing and the most important thing of all - a fabulous and delicious Wedding Cake!!

I could probably find many more beads to tell this story, but don't want to clutter up this post and more :)

And that was our Hawaiian Wedding!!!

OKLAHOMA - The 75th Ebert Family Reuinion

I just returned from a family reunion in my home state, and it was wonderful to see the countryside again and be with family, to hear the stories and meet some distant relatives I did not know.  Oklahoma was hot and windy, just like I remember, but the beauty of the plains and the strength of the settlers who made their way to this country make it a wonderful place to be.

I made this Etsy treasury below in honor of the heritage that I was given by being born an Okie!

Celebrate the Start of Hurricane Season with Carlo Biagi Beads!

Carlo Biagi Two Palm Trees Bead

Yesterday was the beginning of the Hurricane Season for the Atlantic, and today I found the trusty 2011 Hurricane Preparedness Guide with all the reminders and lists to help keep you safe should a storm come your way. The season lasts for 6 months and when you think about how long that is, you should just be prepared all the time! That way you don't have to go broke looking for supplies when a storm is imminent.

Carlo Biagi State of Florida Bead

Here in Central Florida, when you see people leaving the grocery store with more than one or two gallons of water in their basket you know you better turn on the news and then make your decision on whether you should stock up yourself. It is kind of comical to see the patterns and habits of people year after year, and the most important things to have besides water are:
  • candles
  • matches or lighters
  • batteries
  • a flashlight
  • junkfood
  • and a freezer full of ice
My new Hurricane Preparedness Guide has all the storm names that someone already picked out (who gets paid to do that? And just how much do they make??!!). The first name is Arlene, OMG, I know someone in South Florida with that name and she is probably freaking out about that right now!! I doubt seriously that I will EVER see my name as one being used for a storm, but if I ever do I think I will just sit back and have a drink!
